Lift Sir Herbert Leon is seeking reliable Exam Invigilators to support smooth examination proceedings across the school in Milton Keynes. You will help create a calm, well-organised environment for students and work under the Exams Officer to ensure JCQ regulations are followed.

Ideal candidates are patient, professional and student-focused, with strong communication and the ability to handle disruptions calmly while upholding examination integrity and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Dependable and professional, able to work with groups of young people.
• Strong communication and literacy skills, follow instructions and schedules.
• Calm under pressure and able to use initiative within procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are set up correctly.
• Check student attendance and candidate information.
• Distribute examination papers and materials.
• Provide clear instructions before examinations begin.
• Supervise students and maintain appropriate examination conditions.
• Ensure examination regulations are followed at all times.
• Respond calmly to queries, disruptions or unexpected situations.
• Record and report incidents to staff.
• Collect examination papers and materials after exams.
• Support safe and orderly arrival and departure of students.
• Undertake reading and/or scribing duties when required.
• Undertake tasks as delegated by the exams officer.
