Job summary

Hornchurch High School is seeking a calm and professional Exam Invigilator to join our supportive team. You will ensure examination integrity, assist candidates, and follow JCQ, awarding body and school instructions during the main exam period in May and June.

Training will be provided; prior experience is helpful. We expect reliability, good communication, and the ability to work as part of a team in a busy exam environment at our age 11-16 school.

Qualifications

• Calm and professional manner with effective communication to candidates and staff.
• Flexible and a good team player, able to work under exam conditions.
• Ability to conduct examinations in accordance with JCQ, awarding body and school instructions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise candidates during exams, monitor security and regulate conduct.
• Assist with admissions, seating plans, and handling late candidates.
• Report any irregularities to the Exam Officer and maintain paper/material security.
• Manage after-exam duties including collecting scripts and returning materials.
