Job summary

E-ACT Royton & Crompton Academy is seeking a committed Cover Supervisor to supervise lessons during teacher absence and maintain a positive learning environment. You will engage students, uphold high behaviour standards and support learning across various subjects.

The role focuses on building relationships, promoting inclusion and ensuring continuity of learning with effective feedback to teaching staff. It is a maternity cover position with a defined pay scale and schedule.

Qualifications

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above and a Level 3 Cover Supervision, HLTA qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience supervising children in a school environment and supporting a range of learning needs.
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to promote positive behaviour and engagement.

Role Overview

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to provide high-quality classroom supervision during teacher absence, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining a positive learning environment. The successful candidate will build strong relationships with students, promote high expectations, support learning across a range of subjects, and uphold excellent standards of behaviour.   • Supervise lessons during teacher absence, ensuring students remain engaged with set work.

Qualifications & Experience

  • GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above) and a Level 3 Cover Supervision, HLTA qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience of supervising children in a school environment and supporting a range of learning needs.
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to promote positive behaviour and engagement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Confidence using ICT and a good understanding of how children learn and develop.

Salary

Pay range: SCP 12-17 - £25,982.89 - £28,185.21 - FTE: £29,542.00 - £32,046.00 - 37 Hours, 39 Weeks - Maternity Cover, Financial and Lifestyle
