Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting reliable Exam Invigilators to support schools and colleges across Bath for mock and formal examinations.

The role offers flexible, term-time work with enhanced DBS checks and training provided. Applicants from teaching assistants, cover supervisors or students are encouraged to apply, with morning and/or afternoon sessions available.

Qualifications

• Experience in exam invigilation is welcome but not essential.
• Training and guidance provided since it is a safeguarding role.
• Willingness to complete vetting and compliance checks (DBS).

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms and seating.
• Distribute and collect exam papers.
• Supervise candidates during examinations.
• Ensure compliance with examination regulations.
• Answer candidate queries appropriately.
• Report irregularities to Exams Officer.
• Escort candidates when required.
• Maintain a calm, professional examination environment.

TeacherActive is recruiting reliable Exam Invigilators to support schools and colleges throughout upcoming mock and formal examination periods.

Previous experience is welcome but not essential, as guidance and training will be provided. This is an excellent opportunity for teaching assistants, cover supervisors, university students, retired professionals or anyone looking for flexible, term-time work.

The role will include:

• Preparing examination rooms and checking seating arrangements
• Distributing and collecting examination papers
• Supervising candidates throughout examinations
• Ensuring examination regulations are followed
• Responding appropriately to candidate queries
• Reporting any irregularities to the Exams Officer
• Escorting candidates when required
• Maintaining a calm, professional and secure examination environment

The successful Exam Invigilator will:

• Be punctual, reliable and highly organised
• Have excellent attention to detail
• Remain calm and alert during lengthy examination sessions
• Communicate clearly and professionally
• Follow instructions and examination procedures precisely
• Be available for morning and/or afternoon sessions
• Have a good understanding of safeguarding
• Be willing to complete the required vetting and compliance checks
