Public Health Wales’ Evidence Service is seeking to appoint an Evidence and Knowledge Officer to support our team.
As an Evidence & Knowledge Officer , you will work as part of a supportive team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality public health evidence and helping promote its effective use.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide administrative support to the Evidence Service team, including for essential library functions overseen by the Evidence Service,and virtual and in-personinductionsand training delivered by the Evidence Service.Support induction andfamiliarisationactivities for new staff and users of the Evidence Service.
Communicate and liaise with colleagues and stakeholders across Public Health Walesandexternally,andprovide a first point of contact for email enquiries,with a specific focus on library and evidence service resources
Deliverpractical instruction and guidance to users on accessing library resources, databases, evidence products and current awareness tools.Provide demonstrations of systems and processes to colleagues and service users as required .
Identify and resolve routine information retrieval issues, escalating more complex matters where appropriate .
Undertakebrief literature searches and identify relevant articles and research papers on given topics.
Assistwith updating and maintaining the Evidence Service intranet pages, under the supervision of senior Evidence Service staff.

The salary scale shown is for a full-time member of staff, with the amount being adjusted pro rata for those working less than 37.5 hours per week.
In general, anyone joining our Trust who has not previously worked in the NHS will, by default, start on the first point of the advertised pay band. Pay progression will then be determined by annual Performance and Development Reviews in accordance with the NHS Wales Pay Progression Policy .
