Events Specialist

Location: London, Hybrid

Salary: £36,000

Gleeson Recruitment Group is delighted to collaborate with an international membership organisation to recruit an Events Specialist into their team. Our client is a market-leading provider of training and events worldwide. In this role, you will support the Events Manager with planning, managing, and delivering the event schedule.

You will be responsible for the full end-to-end planning of events, from ideation and organization to operational logistics on the event day. This role requires someone with strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously, and the capacity to hit the ground running.

The Role:
  1. Manage the annual events calendar, which includes virtual and in-person events, ranging from small to large-scale.
  2. Organize and run each event, sourcing venues, arranging dates, coordinating with speakers, and fulfilling pre-event requirements for external conferences.
  3. Oversee the entire event lifecycle, including identifying requirements, liaising with stakeholders, and managing suppliers to bring the event to fruition.
  4. Serve as the main point of contact for venues, vendors, guests, and speakers, providing support during planning and event execution.
  5. Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote events effectively and maximize impact.
  6. Review and analyze event effectiveness and impact.
  7. Conduct weekly progress meetings with the Event Manager and key stakeholders.
  8. Manage budgets for each event.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience in a similar events role.
  • Experience within a membership body or corporate organization.
  • Highly organized with excellent planning skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and requests simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Hybrid working model: 3 days in the office and 2 days from home, subject to event calendar needs.
