Job Description

The Events Porter is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment in compliance with Searcys Health and Safety standards. This includes receiving, inspecting, storing, and distributing goods and equipment as needed.

Hourly Rate: £13.85

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Ensure all received goods are accurately counted and inspected against delivery notes.
2. Assist in setting up the venue in coordination with BEOs and client requirements.
3. Transport equipment carefully to protect venue assets.
4. Set up stages and assemble equipment as needed.
5. Communicate effectively with couriers, clients, and delivery personnel.
6. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the back of house areas.
7. Report discrepancies in deliveries immediately to your line manager.
8. Manage and secure liquor stock, ensuring proper recording and reporting of discrepancies.
9. Organize documentation related to receipt, return, and dispense of goods and beverages.
10. Assist with stock takes and other administrative tasks as directed.
11. Keep storage areas clean and organized at all times.
12. Comply with all legal and safety regulations, including fire, security, and licensing laws.
13. Report maintenance issues promptly.
14. Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by management.
