Job summary

The Belfry Hotel & Resort is seeking an experienced Events Bar Manager to oversee and manage our hotel’s multiple bar operations for events. You will lead a team of up to 30 staff and manage close to £2 million in revenue, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional service.

45 hours per week, 12 or 3 pm start, five days out of seven. The role sits within our Meetings & Events team and offers a base of £34,000 per year plus service charge, with development opportunities in a vibrant,

Qualifications

• Proven experience in bar management, preferably in a hotel or events setting.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Knowledge of stock control, bar operations, and budgeting.
• A proactive, problem-solving attitude with a keen eye for detail.
• An inspirational leader who develops your team and fosters excitement for our food and drinks offering.
• Fantastic eye for detail and ability to develop strong relationships with guests, team and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of several bars across events.
• Lead, train, and motivate a team of bartenders and bar staff.
• Maintain an environment that promotes morale and pride.
• Ensure high standards of service and health and safety compliance.
• Monitor stock levels, control costs, and ensure profitability.
• Work with Head of Meeting & Events on new ideas and initiatives.
• Collaborate with events team to deliver a seamless guest experience.
