Job summary

La Mon Hotel & Country Club is seeking a Conference & Banqueting Porter to greet guests and uphold high standards of service, safety and cleanliness across the hotel. You will assist with banqueting and conference functions, serve meals and beverages, clear and reset spaces, and help maintain a welcoming and efficient Front of House operation.

Ideal candidates will have a good command of English, strong communication skills, and a professional appearance.

Qualifications

• Right to Work in the United Kingdom
• Clear command of English (spoken and written)
• Excellent communication and basic numeracy skills
• Professional appearance required
• Transportation needed due to location

Responsibilities

• Adhere to health and safety policies and hotel procedures
• Maintain hygiene standards in facilities and banqueting areas
• Serve hot and cold food and beverages to guests
• Clear crockery, cutlery, rubbish and glasses after service
• Assist guests with luggage and direct to designated areas
• Keep banqueting/conference/laundry areas clean and well-stocked
• Polish cutlery and maintain high kitchen cleanliness
• Support function setup, preparations and breakdown
• Promote hotel products with a friendly, helpful manner
• Communicate effectively with management and peers
• Attend training courses as required
• Ensure personal hygiene and appearance at all times
• Report incidents, damages, or maintenance issues promptly
• Perform any other duties as requested by management
