Job summary

Hyve Group in London is seeking an Event Operations Manager for LegalTechTalk, now part of Hyve, to oversee show logistics, catering, signage and attendee travel across sponsors, speakers and delegates.

You will collaborate with our Operations and Marketing teams, travel to events, manage onsite staff, ensure health and safety, and help deliver high-impact ancillary events that enhance the attendee experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage event documentation, show orders, onsite office operations, and inventory.
• Recruit and coordinate volunteer and temporary event staff and contractors, ensuring seamless scheduling and training.
• Lead the execution of high-value catering, managing menus, budgets, and costs to elevate the attendee experience.
• Curate and execute networking and ancillary events, managing venue selection, entertainment, décor, and catering.
• Support stakeholders, vendors, and the wider Operations team in coordinating furniture, AV, signage, and event elements.
• Project manage the delivery of activation programmes (Launchpad, Vibeathon), working with internal and external stakeholders.
• Work with the Marketing team on end-to-end delivery of the pre-show side event programme, owning production and venue logistics.
• Onsite health & safety adherence, staying alert and managing attendee welfare.

A bit about the role

As the event is rapidly growing, we are hiring an Event Operations Manager to oversee show logistics and help deliver an exceptional experience for all attendees across our sponsors, speakers and delegates.

In this role, you'll collaborate closely with our Operations team and vendors to ensure everything runs smoothly, with a focus on event production, catering, signage, and attendee logistics, as well as ancillary events.

We're looking for someone who is adaptable, calm under pressure, creative, innovative, and ready to support the team in exploring new opportunities. Travel to our events will be required.

As part of your job, you'll:

• Manage event documentation, show orders, onsite office operations, and inventory.
• Recruit and coordinate volunteer and temporary event staff and contractors, ensuring seamless scheduling and training.
• Lead the execution of high-value catering, managing menus, budgets, and costs to elevate the attendee experience.
• Curate and execute networking and ancillary events, managing venue selection, entertainment, décor, and catering.
• Support stakeholders, vendors, and the wider Operations team in coordinating furniture, AV, signage, and event elements.
• Project manage the delivery of activation programmes (such as the Launchpad competition, Vibeathon etc.), working with key internal and external stakeholders to facilitate this within the wider event.
• Work collaboratively with the Marketing team on end-to-end delivery of the pre-show side event programme, owning production and venue logistics.
• Alongside the Operations team, be responsible for onsite health & safety adherence, staying alert and on top of attendee experience for the welfare of all persons onsite.
• Analyse post-show and NPS data to drive strategic decisions and innovation.
• Stay ahead of industry trends by attending events, generating fresh ideas, and collaborating cross-functionally to execute seamless events.

Here’s what we’re looking for from you:

We're looking for someone with at least three years' experience in event management, particularly in event operations, production or logistics.

You'll have proven experience managing catering, networking events and production logistics, ideally within large-scale B2B events, conferences, media or sponsorship. You'll be highly organised, commercially minded and detail-focused, with strong project management, communication and time management skills.

You'll also be confident using Google and Microsoft programmes, calm under pressure, creative and customer-focused, and motivated by finding solutions and working collaboratively.

Above all, you'll bring a genuine passion for the events industry.
