Job summary

Restaurant Associates is seeking a proactive Event Operations Manager to lead our conferencing and events delivery at MShed & Bristol Central Venues. You’ll oversee on-site catering operations, ensure seamless service, and coach front-of-house teams to maintain energy and focus throughout busy events.

In this full-time role, you’ll collaborate with the General Manager on inventory, budgets and planning, take ownership of admin tasks, and uphold the Compass Group UK&I brand.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in a similar position.
• Demonstrates exceptional customer service.
• Leadership or supervisory experience in hospitality or catering.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Positive, can-do attitude with a drive to develop and lead others.
• Experience in managing and motivating teams.
• Adaptable and ready to embrace new challenges.

Responsibilities

• Act as a vital link between team and management to ensure high-quality service delivery of all conferencing and events on site.
• Support the General Manager with inventory, budgets, and operational planning
• Lead and motivate front-of-house teams, maintaining energy and focus
• Assist with staff training and development
• Take ownership of key admin and paperwork tasks
• Uphold and represent the Compass Group UK&I brand professionally at all times
