Job description

Hanson Wade Group creates and delivers corporate conferences catering to the life science, HR, and construction industries. We deliver almost 300 events each year across the USA, Europe, and Asia.

We are seeking a bright and enthusiastic Event Executive with a "can-do" attitude to join our growing Event Delivery team. You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of physical events for the European and US markets, approximately 2 per month. Ranging in size and logistical complexity, you will partner with key stakeholders and lead the planning, development, and delivery of our events to create memorable and unique experiences for each customer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with all customer types throughout the event lifecycle: delegates, speakers, and sponsors
  • Work extensively with conference hotels, including costs, setup, catering, Wi-Fi, etc.
  • Manage Hanson Wade staff flights and accommodation
  • Represent the campaign and Hanson Wade on-site (international travel is required)
  • Create and proof event documentation
  • Create running orders for each event
  • Sourcing, negotiating, and managing external suppliers, including AV, technology, signage, and hostesses
  • Manage budgets effectively
  • Create, implement, and deliver mobile apps for larger campaigns
  • Collaborate with the campaign project team to meet key goals and objectives
  • Support other team members as needed
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proactive and enthusiastic approach, offering flexibility and a positive attitude
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a warm, personable attitude
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure with high workloads and multiple deadlines
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients at varying levels of seniority
  • Passion for event management
  • Ability to travel to the USA and Europe (please check your visa requirements)
Education and Experience:
  • Higher education degree or equivalent work experience (Event Management degree preferred)
  • Previous event management experience preferred
  • Experience with event software is advantageous

Salary: £27,000 + annual bonus
