Job summary

Arc Hospitality Recruitment Ltd is seeking experienced Event Chefs to support a busy portfolio of venues, events, and stadiums across the North East. Join our agency relief team and work on a variety of hospitality settings during a dynamic season.

You’ll lead kitchen teams, maintain high culinary standards, and adapt to fast-paced environments while earning £16–£20 per hour plus holiday pay. Flexible hours and opportunities for progression are on offer.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 Professional Cookery or relevant experience in the role.
• Food Safety Level 2 certificate - Within last 3 years.
• Food Allergen certificate - Within last 3 years.
• Health & Safety Level 2 - Within last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support kitchen teams across a variety of venues.
• Maintain high culinary standards and presentation under pressure.
• Ensure smooth service during busy race days, football matches, corporate events, weddings, and concerts.
• Adapt quickly to different kitchen environments and teams.
• Uphold food safety, hygiene, and compliance at all times.
• Cook to specification and opportunity for menu creation.
• Product Delivery, Standards and Innovation.
• Cleaning the kitchen & its equipment.
• Due diligence, Record food/fridge temps & wastage.
• Liaising with Front of House Staff and Management.
• Stock Control, Waste Management and Finance.
• Health & Safety, Food Hygiene and Maintenance.
• Be aware of and adhere to Health and Safety at Work, COSHH and other legislation.

Wages - £16.00ph - £20.00ph + holiday pay (Depending on experience)

Following another successful season working with some of the region's biggest sporting and hospitality venues, ARC Hospitality Recruitment is expanding their team of Relief Chefs and we're looking for the North East's best culinary talent to join us.

What you need?

• Food Safety Level 2 certificate - From last 3 years
• Food Allergen certificate - From last 3 years
• Health & Safety Level 2 - From last 3 years
• You will have an NVQ Level 2/3 Professional Cookery or relevant experience in the role.
• Good Knowledge of food and passion for delivering high quality, affordable, on-the-go and sit-down meals.
• Eligible to work in the UK
• An eagerness to work hard & enthusiasm for your role
