Job summary

Arc Hospitality Recruitment Ltd is expanding its relief chef team in the North East. We seek experienced, professional chefs to join us on agency work with venues including racecourses, hotels and events. You will lead kitchen teams, maintain high standards and adapt to varied environments with strict food safety compliance.

Starting rates from £16–£20 per hour plus holiday pay, with opportunities for temp-to-perm roles and progression within a dynamic hospitality network.

Qualifications

• Food safety and allergen handling required.
• Health and safety practices must be followed.
• NVQ Level 2/3 in professional cookery or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Cook to specification and create menus where applicable.
• Delivery of products, maintaining standards and innovation.
• Clean the kitchen and its equipment.
• Record food/fridge temperatures and wastage for due diligence.
• Liaise with Front of House staff and management.
• Manage stock, waste and finance controls.
• Uphold health, safety, hygiene and maintenance at all times.
