Job summary

ESS – Defence, Energy and Government Services is seeking an experienced Catering Supervisor for Defence operations on a part-time basis (17.5 hours per week) contracted to 50.2 weeks per year. The role focuses on delivering exceptional food and customer service while overseeing kitchens and service counters.

Key responsibilities include supervising culinary and catering teams, monitoring KPIs, maintaining Health & Safety standards, and representing Compass Group UK&I in a Defence context.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years catering experience.
• Hold a Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious food to the highest standards.
• Supervising culinary and catering teams to deliver impeccable food and customer service.
• Communicating with line manager to monitor KPIs and targets.
• Representing Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a positive brand image.
• Liaising between customers and our culinary and service teams to exceed expectations.
• Training teams and leading from the front to enable everyone to excel.
• Implementing and reviewing Health & Safety standards across all teams.
