NHFM, the Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital portering service, seeks two part-time porters (4pm–9pm) at Cramlington. The role covers patient movement, linen and waste handling, and mail tasks in a busy NHS setting. DBS check is required; driving licence is essential for on-site duties.

We offer NHS-aligned terms, enhanced pay for evenings/nights/bank holidays, and generous annual leave. Employment is permanent with 17.5 hours per week, working across seven days including weekends

Formación

• General education as a baseline requirement.
• Knowledge of portering and security procedures to ensure safe operations.
• Must have a valid driving licence or vehicle access for work duties.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in directing patients and visitors.
• Conveyance and movement of patients by wheelchair or trolley.
• Collect and deliver linen, waste, trolleys, stores, beds and equipment to designated areas.
• Sort incoming mail and frank external mail as required.
• Reception and movement of medical gas cylinders within safety guidelines.
• Daily removal of refuse and cleaning of external areas.
