Job summary

NHFM seeks a part-time Security Officer at Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, Cramlington. The role covers 30 hours weekly on a rolling rota including weekends and bank holidays.

Salary is £25,272 pro rata per annum, with opportunities for enhanced pay on evenings, nights and holidays. Working on a rolling rota with 12-hour shifts, the post emphasises protecting patients and staff, safeguarding property, and stewarding car parks.

Qualifications

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
• Ability to apply physical intervention techniques when necessary.
• SIA-licence or be working towards within 12 months of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive security service to all wards and departments.
• Protect people and property and deter crime across hospital grounds.
• Manage Trust car parks and ensure safe access and egress.
