Job summary

City St George’s, University of London is recruiting an Evening Library Assistant at the Clerkenwell campus. The role is based at the Northampton Square Library during term-time, with hours 5-9pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays and 12-6pm on alternate Saturdays.

The successful candidate will have relevant experience, preferably in an academic library setting, and excellent customer service skills. The Supervisor will guide colleagues and liaise with library teams and Security staff during

• Ability to supervise a small staff.

Responsibilities

• Answer reference and procedural enquiries at the library help desk, delivering circulation functions.
• Support the online library enquiry service and shelving/collection management tasks.
• Supervise a small team of staff delivering these services and liaise with Security and other university colleagues.
• Maintain library study environment and coordinate with library colleagues and other university teams.
• Provide clear guidance to colleagues and foster a collaborative approach to work.
