Job summary

Springfield Veterinary Hospital in Rotherham is recruiting an Evening Veterinary Technician / Receptionist to put pets first and support our RVNs and vets with compassionate care. Join a CVS Vets practice dedicated to animal welfare and outstanding client service.

This permanent, full-time role is 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri with a weekend rota. Duties include stock control, theatre preparation, kit reprocessing, lab work, and handling reception activities such as appointments and payments.

Qualifications

• Team player with veterinary environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supporting vets and nurses with day-to-day tasks
• Assisting stock control and restocking
• Preparing operating facilities and theatres
• Care of and reprocessing of surgical kits and equipment
• General cleaning and maintenance of equipment
• Running internal lab samples
• General housekeeping tasks to ensure good biosecurity
• Supporting the reception team when needed, including booking appointments and processing payments, working on reception in the evening, supporting the OOH team

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, on a varied shift pattern, with a share in the Weekend rota

About the role:

You’ll support our skilled RVN's and Vets in providing exceptional care to our animal patients.

Your responsibilities will include:
