Job summary

Activate Group is seeking an Evening Shift Vehicle Paint Technician for their Birmingham operation. You will paint and prep vehicles to high standards, ensuring safety and quality throughout the repair process.

The role requires ATA or NVQ Level 3, solid communication, and strong problem-solving abilities, with experience in repair tech work. A £5,000 sign-on bonus is offered after probation and a comprehensive benefits package is included.

Qualifications

• ATA or NVQ Level 3 qualification.
• Good communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Health and safety awareness and time management.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring customer satisfaction in the repair and painting of motor vehicles of all types.
• Carrying out all work in a safe and economical manner.
• Observing, recognising and reporting on vehicle structure and paintwork.
• Interpreting and implementing technical instruction data
• Accurately using paint mixing schemes and drying areas and equipment
• Making sure vehicles meet safety standards before they're returned to customers, or reporting and noting any faults on the job card
• Achieving manufacturer and/or estimated repair and paint times
• Reporting all faults and defects noticed while working on vehicles
