Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council is seeking a Cleaner Supervisor for Blacklaw Primary School. The post is 15 hours per week during term time, with a split of 7.5 hours for cleaning and 7.5 hours for supervision, on-site from 3pm to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

The role involves cleaning floors, furniture and fittings, monitoring COSHH compliance, and setting up rooms for lets. It includes supervising a team, reporting health and safety issues, and ensuring building security as required.

Qualifications

• You will supervise a team of Facility Assistants (Cleaning) and assist with training; recruitment & selection.
• You will monitor standards of cleaning in line with specification/COSHH regulation.
• You will be responsible for setting up rooms for lets and being the on-site person for reporting health and safety issues.

Responsibilities

• Supervise cleaning staff and ensure ROSQ standards are met.
• Monitor and report on cleaning standards and health & safety compliance.
• Set up rooms for lets and act as on-site contact for safety matters.
