Job summary

Skipton Girls’ High School is seeking a reliable Cleaning Supervisor to lead day-to-day cleaning operations. You will oversee the cleaning team, ensuring high standards and timely completion within allocated hours, while collaborating with the Facilities Team to maintain a safe and welcoming school environment.

The role is 20 hours per week during term time plus two weeks, with duties spanning inspections, staff supervision, and adherence to health and safety/COSHH requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising cleaning staff.
• Ability to conduct inspections and maintain records.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Undertake daily cleaning inspections to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
• Supervise cleaning staff and allocate duties.
• Maintain records of inspections and actions taken.
• Coordinate with Estates/Facilities to address issues and priorities.
• Ensure compliance with COSHH and health and safety policies.
• Support induction and training for new cleaning team members.
• Provide cover during staff absences and maintain service standards.
