Job summary

WHSmith Careers is seeking a Full Time Team Leader in Manchester to lead and inspire a store team, delivering exceptional customer service and achieving business objectives. The role involves 39 hours per week across a 5-day rota, including alternate weekends, with typical shifts from early to late and a 22:00 finish on some occasions.

You will guide staff to meet KPI targets, foster development, ensure safe and legal operations, and create a welcoming culture.

Qualifications

• Current/recent retail leadership experience (preferably in a fast-paced environment) with working knowledge of KPI’s such as ATV.
• Experience of proactively leading from the front, getting stuck in, and helping your team on the shop floor.
• Flexibility to support other stores in the area when needed.
• Ability to build strong relationships and communicate clearly and effectively.
• Experience of supporting employee training and development, and motivating teams to deliver their best.
