Job summary

Element Materials Technology Ltd. is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our busy Deeside laboratory. This role covers a Monday to Friday 12:00–20:00 shift, with a science background preferred.

No formal qualification is essential beyond willingness to train; candidates with an A-level or equivalent are welcome. You will work on sample preparation, basic analysis, and report results using LIMS, contributing to high-quality data and reliable service.

Qualifications

• Science background; A level preferable but not essential.
• The right aptitude and/or previous relevant experience will be taken into account.
• Full training will be provided.
• Experience within a laboratory preferably processing soils and waters.
• Highly motivated and organised individual.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and adhere to deadlines.
• A team player with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking a variety of extractions or sample preparation.
• Undertaking basic analysis following standard procedures.
• Maintaining accurate records, calibrating equipment and general housekeeping.
• Reporting of results using LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System).
• Ad hoc duties as required.
