Job summary

Tetra Tech in Bedford is seeking a Lead Sample Reception Supervisor to lead a small team of Sample Reception Officers, ensuring accurate logging and storage of samples and maintaining tight LIMS workflows on site.

The role focuses on improving throughput, traceability, and capacity planning, with alignment to QA/QC standards and regulatory readiness, while offering permanent full-time employment with a fixed 14:00-22:00 shift.

Qualifications

• Science-related qualifications (A level or equivalent) and familiarity with LIMS.
• Desirable: formal training in laboratory quality systems, line management experience, prior work in environmental or agrochemical testing.

Responsibilities

• Receive, log and store samples while ensuring correct client requirements.
• Maintain accurate LIMS records and sample traceability.
• Coordinate with Analysts, Chemists and Logistics to manage throughput.
• Lead a small team, ensure shift continuity and safety compliance.
