Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Sample Reception Officer for our Bedford laboratory to manage incoming samples, documentation and LIMS entry on a full-time fixed-term contract. You will work closely with the Laboratory team to ensure accurate sample flow, storage and traceability, supporting regulatory and quality standards.

The role offers hands-on exposure to core laboratory operations, with potential extension and development within a respected technical environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in a fast-paced laboratory environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Record sample information, temperatures, deviations, paperwork and chain of custody in the LIMS.
• Receive, unpack, store and track samples ensuring correct locations and procedures.
• Liaise with laboratory colleagues and project coordinators to support timely sample processing.
• Follow procedures for sample reception, storage, preparation and analysis to maintain traceability.
• Manage multiple deliveries and changing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
