Job summary

Dalkia UK is seeking a part-time Evening Cleaner for our facilities team at EDF Energy Cannington Court, Somerset. This fixed-term role offers 20 hours weekly across Monday to Friday evenings, with a 12-week contract and on-site duties.

You'll maintain high cleanliness standards across all spaces, handle waste, and support a welcoming environment for guests and staff.

A prior cleaning operative background and reliable transport are preferred, with good communication and teamwork skills valued.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning operative experience required.
• Own transport recommended if not local.
• Good written and verbal communication with staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service all areas of the venue.
• Vacuum floors, mop and spot-clean as required.
• Dust surfaces including high-level areas.
• Empty waste and follow recycling guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness of stairways, glass and spills.

We have a fixed-term opportunity for a part-time Evening Cleaner to join our facilities team at EDF Energy Cannington Court, a unique conference venue in Somerset.

Cannington Court boasts 50 en-suite bedrooms, a wide range of learning and meeting spaces, plus learning technology throughout. Our facilities team are dedicated to creating a welcoming ambience and an exceptional service, ensuring guests enjoy a memorable experience.

Hours of work

• Monday - Thursday 4pm - 8pm and Friday 2pm - 6pm
• 20 hours per week
• Fixed-term 12 week contract

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and servicing all parts of the facilities
• Floor vacuuming / cleaning / spot cleaning / mopping
• Dusting, including damp wiping and high level dusting
• Emptying of waste bins and following site recycling specification
• Stairway cleaning
• Internal glass partition and mirror cleaning
• Cleaning of spills

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Cleaning Operative
• Unless you live locally you will need to have your own transport due to the lack of public transport available
• Good written and verbal communication skills - there will be daily interaction with client staff and site visitors
