Dalkia UK is seeking a reliable Cleaner to join our school team in Walkden, Manchester. This 16-hour, part-time role runs 3pm–6.15pm, Monday to Friday, supporting a safe and welcoming learning environment.

You will clean classrooms, corridors and facilities under the Cleaning Supervisor, following COSHH guidelines and site procedures. We value dependable team players who take pride in high cleaning standards and can work well within a school setting.

Cleaner

Location: Walkden, Manchester, M28

Salary: £12.71 per hour

Hours: 16 hours per week

Working Pattern: Monday-Friday, 3pm - 6.15pm

Dalkia UK is looking for a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join our team at a school in Walkden, Manchester.

Working under the direction of the Cleaning Supervisor, you will be responsible for cleaning designated areas throughout the school, helping to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

This role would suit someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards, works reliably as part of a team and is comfortable working within a school environment.

Job Purpose

• Undertake the general cleaning of designated areas in accordance with the cleaning specification and under the direction of the Cleaning Supervisor.
• Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, communal spaces, staff facilities and toilets, as required.
• Ensure cleaning materials and equipment are handled, stored and used correctly in accordance with COSHH guidance.
• Follow all site health and safety procedures and school safeguarding requirements.
• Report any hazards, damage or maintenance concerns to the Cleaning Supervisor.

Aims and Objectives

• Maintain consistently high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Complete all allocated cleaning duties in line with the required specification.
• Help maintain a safe and presentable learning environment across the school.
• Meet client expectations and achieve the required audit standards.
