Job summary

Active Assistance in Southport is seeking a part-time Children's Support Worker for evening shifts to support a 15-year-old boy with complex needs, including Angelman syndrome and wheelchair mobility. You will join a two-person team, providing care at home and in the community, with ongoing specialist training and rotas planned in advance.

The role offers evenings (4pm-7pm), up to 15 hours per week, with a flexible zero-hours contract and 14.07% holiday pay.

Qualifications

• Support a young person with complex needs in a family setting and community.
• Able to work in evenings and as part of a small care team.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with a patient, compassionate approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide evening care for a 15-year-old boy in his family home and in the community.
• Work as part of a two-person care team on double up shifts.
• Engage in specialist training and shadow shifts with the Care Manager.
