Job summary

Wilson Vale is seeking a Chef de Partie to join our workplace restaurant in North Hykeham. You will take ownership of your own section, prepare fresh lunch and dinner menus, and work alongside a Kitchen Porter and another Chef de Partie.

This permanent, 40-hour-per-week role runs Monday to Friday from 2:45pm to 11:15pm. You will demonstrate strong culinary skills, knowledge of food hygiene, and a commitment to high quality food in a busy, supportive team.

Qualifications

• Produces fresh, high quality food from scratch.
• Has excellent people skills and a passion for food and customer service.
• Knows food hygiene and holds NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
• Demonstrates strong culinary skills and creative menu development.
• Shows excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and in a large team.
• Understands stock control and minimises food waste.
• Eligible to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of your own section and produce fresh lunch and dinner menus.
• Create exciting street food style dishes from scratch using quality ingredients.
• Work on evening shift with another Chef de Partie and Kitchen Porter, reporting to the evening Sous Chef.
• Ensure all food is prepared fresh on site and maintain high standards of freshness.
• Contribute to weekly menus with the wider chef team.
