Job summary

Arnold Clark is seeking a skilled mechanic at our Aberdeen Service Centre to service, repair and maintain vehicles to the highest standards. You will diagnose issues with engine and mechanical/electrical systems using computer-based tools, replace faulty parts, and conduct DVSA testing when authorised.

You’ll join a capable team, stay up to date with new vehicle technology, and benefit from training towards EV accreditation, flexible hours, and generous employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Certified in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3 with automotive industry experience.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a busy team with efficiency.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Capable of meeting high standards and deadlines with a proactive approach.
• Ability to follow written and spoken instructions accurately.
• Valid full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
• Inspect engine and components to diagnose issues using diagnostic equipment.
• Repair or replace defective parts as needed.
• Conduct DVSA vehicle testing when authorised.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs.
• Maintain equipment and keep tools in good condition.
• Follow checklists and complete documentation to standard.
