Job summary

Motorpoint in Motherwell is seeking a PDI Technician to ensure vehicles are mechanically prepared and ready for handover. You will perform servicing, inspections, and road tests to uphold our quality standards.

You will hold a full UK driving licence and a Level 2 motor trade qualification. EV qualification is desirable, with training provided. A team player who can also work independently and maintain a safe, tidy workspace is essential.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence is essential.
• A minimum Level 2 motor trade qualification.
• EV qualification is desirable – but training is provided if needed.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot issues during inspections.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Team player who can also work independently.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Inspect vehicles and diagnose faults to meet Motorpoint’s quality benchmarks.
• Follow our PDI process, including road tests, to ensure readiness for handover.
• Complete documentation accurately and support vehicle movements as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and collaborate with colleagues across departments.
• Champion health and safety and contribute to a positive team culture.
• Carry out any other ad hoc tasks as required.
