Job summary

Arnold Clark Group is seeking a skilled mechanic at Stafford Motorstore to prepare vehicles for road use with precision and care. You will work across a broad range of manufacturers and models, developing expertise in the latest vehicle technology.

You will hold a Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance certificate, be able to work solo or in a team, and have a full driving licence. The role offers flexible hours, generous leave and extensive staff benefits within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• The certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3.
• Ability to work independently or in a busy team.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow written and spoken instructions.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
• Inspecting engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues with diagnostic equipment.
• Repairing or replacing faulty parts.
• Carrying out DVSA vehicle testing (if authorised).
• Road testing vehicles after repairs.
• Maintaining tools and equipment in good condition.
• Following checklists to ensure procedures are completed.
• Completing all required documentation.
