Job summary

Arnold Clark Group is seeking a qualified HGV Technician to inspect and repair vehicles to DVSA standards. The role requires a Category C + E driving licence and a strong focus on accuracy.

You will perform fault diagnosis across hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems, service vehicles, and complete required paperwork. The position offers full-time hours, training, and career development.

Qualifications

• HGV Level 3 automotive qualification is required.
• Category C + E driving licence is essential.
• Ability to perform repairs to DVSA and Group Operators licence standards.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Carry out periodic safety inspections of all HGVs to DVSA standards.
• Fault diagnosis on hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
• Attend broken down or accident-damaged vehicles and repair as required.
• Fit and remove a wide range of ancillary equipment, accessories and livery.
• Complete paperwork accurately and update internal systems.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed and workplaces kept clean.
