Job summary

Jaguar Land Rover is seeking a Laboratory Leader for the Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Centre (EPMC) in the UK. The role supports ISO17025 and IATF16949 compliance, overseeing materials quality of assembly and supplied products, while guiding the Laboratory team to high standards.

You will develop and refine material test procedures, work with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues, and drive continuous improvement to eliminate risk for customers assembling electric components.

Qualifications

• Strong materials science knowledge.
• Working knowledge of typical Laboratory equipment.
• Understanding of engine/EDU/battery assembly and machining processes.
• Problem solving techniques / root cause analysis including 8D or similar.
• Computer literate - comfortable using Office 365 applications on a daily basis.
• Supervisory or management experience of a technical team.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operation of EPMC EV Laboratory to control materials quality.
• Collaborate with Laboratory Metallurgist and other teams to ensure ISO17025 and IATF16949 compliance.
• Develop and improve material test procedures for future projects.
• Provide KPI monitoring and supervision to the operational team to improve quality performance.
