Job summary

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer - Assembly in Whitley/Coventry to drive assembly processes for advanced EV tech. You will collaborate with development engineers and global suppliers to shape manufacturable, high‑quality processes and facilities, influencing the vehicles of the future.

The role sits in the GME EDU Assembly team, offering opportunities to innovate, implement PFMEA/Control Plans, and travel across Europe as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in automotive manufacturing or engineering processes.
• Leads PFMEA and control plans with structured risk analysis.
• Experience with facility installation, validation, commissioning and launches.
• Problem-solver capable in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to review drawings/models using CAD tools (Catia V6/Teamcenter).
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication.
• Degree in Manufacturing or Engineering or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Develop, document and optimise assembly processes, facilities, tooling and fixtures.
• Lead detailed process planning including PFMEAs and feasibility reviews.
• Plan installation and timing with suppliers, report progress and governance.
• Support assembly process strategy and new model planning.
• Verify and validate processes and equipment at supplier sites and facilities.
• Manage technical issues and collaborate across engineering, manufacturing and suppliers.
• Contribute to programme delivery and ad-hoc tasks as required
