Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is seeking a Project Support Officer to assist the Transport Projects & Programme team in planning, coordinating, and delivering Electric Vehicle Infrastructure highway projects. You will handle day-to-day tasks, support in tracking timelines and budgets, and contribute to risk management, reporting, and QA.

The role supports a Project Manager and two Assistant Project Managers.

Qualifications

• GCSE English Language and Mathematics Grade A-C or equivalent or demonstrable experience.
• Experience using MS Office to produce reports and manage workload.
• Experience maintaining effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work to tight timescales and manage own workload.
• Good understanding of policy, guidance and legislation to inform service delivery.
• Excellent communication, presentation and report writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Support a Project Manager and two Assistant Project Managers in planning, coordinating and delivering EVI highway projects.
• Develop project documentation and track progress against timelines and budgets.
• Assist with risk management, project reporting and quality assurance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure value for money and quality outcomes.
