Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is seeking two Assistant Project Managers to join the Transport Projects & Programmes team, delivering high-profile Electric Vehicle Infrastructure projects. The role involves assisting with governance, reporting, financial monitoring and risk management to ensure timely, quality delivery within budget.

Candidates should have a BTEC in Civil Engineering or equivalent, experience in highway engineering, and a strong grasp of Prince2.

Qualifications

BTEC in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Experience in Highway engineering design, management, maintenance or administrative processes.
Experience maintaining effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience meeting tight timescales to deliver projects/programmes on time, to quality and cost.
Good understanding of Prince2 Project Management principles.
Excellent communication, presentation and report writing skills.
Customer-focused approach to service delivery.

Responsibilities

Assist on the project management of Leicestershire County Council’s Electric Vehicle Infrastructure projects and programmes.
Support project governance and reporting, financial monitoring and risk management.
Help ensure schemes are delivered on time, to quality and cost.
