Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is seeking a Project Support Officer to back the Transport Projects & Programmes team within the Environment and Transport Department. The role involves assisting in planning, coordinating and delivering Electric Vehicle Infrastructure highway projects while developing documentation and monitoring progress.

The successful candidate will work with a motivated team, contribute to budget tracking, reporting and risk management, and support quality assurance.

Qualifications

• GCSE English Language and Mathematics Grade A-C or equivalent or demonstrable experience.
• Experience of working in an office environment, including MS Office to produce reports and manage workload.
• Experience of maintaining effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders including statutory, voluntary and private agencies.
• Experience of working to tight timescales and being a self-starter to manage your own workload.
• Good understanding of policy, guidance and legislation to inform service delivery.
• Excellent communication, presentation and report-writing skills.
• Ability to problem solve and find efficient ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Support a Project Manager and two Assistant Project Managers in planning and delivering EVI highway projects.
• Develop project documentation and track progress against timelines and budgets.
• Assist with risk management, project reporting and quality assurance.
