Job summary

Arnold Clark Group in Greenock is seeking a qualified mechanic to safely prepare customers’ cars, with meticulous attention to detail. You’ll work within a capable team on a wide range of models and stay up to date with the latest vehicle technology.

The role offers £40,000–£50,000 DOE plus benefits, with overtime paid at time and a half. Starting from 33 days annual leave, flexible hours, EV accreditation training, private healthcare and salary reviews.

Qualifications

• Has LV maintenance Level 3 certificate and automotive experience.
• Capable of working alone or in a busy team.
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Able to meet high standards and deadlines.
• Proactive and enthusiastic approach.
• Follows written and spoken instructions.
• Holds a full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
• Diagnose issues using diagnostic equipment.
• Repair or replace defective parts.
• Carry out DVSA vehicle testing (if authorised).
• Road test vehicles after repairs.
• Maintain equipment and tools.
• Follow checklists and complete documentation.
