Job summary

EVEREC is recruiting a Technical Manager for EV charging and major infrastructure projects in the North East region. The role focuses on front-end pre-construction work, tender development, and cross‑functional delivery with tendering, estimating, commercial and operations teams.

The successful candidate will oversee complex projects across EV charging, ICP and grid connections, fibre networks and civils. Hybrid working is offered with UK travel as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in pre-construction and tender development for infrastructure projects.
• Delivery of technical solutions across multi-disciplinary programs.
• Knowledge of DNO/IDNO requirements and grid connection processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical pre-construction activities from enquiry to tender submission.
• Provide technical input to tendering and estimating teams for multiple streams.
• Review drawings, specs, surveys and client requirements for risks and opportunities.
• Develop construction methodologies, execution plans and buildability assessments.
• Support competitive tender submissions ensuring alignment with commercial objectives.
• Coordinate with estimating, commercial, design, procurement and operations teams.
• Assess programme requirements, sequencing, logistics and subcontractor needs.
• Identify technical, commercial and delivery risks during tendering.
• Engage with clients, consultants, DNOs/IDNOs, ICPs and subcontractors.
• Attend site visits and tender reviews as required.
