Job summary

Envevo Ltd is seeking an Electrical Field Service Engineer to commission, maintain and repair AC chargers, Rapid DC, Ultra and HPC charging stations across sites in the UK. The role requires an electrical background, independence on-site and delivering high-quality technical support to customers.

You will handle fault finding, firmware updates and system optimisation, while coordinating with Operations and Project teams to ensure peak performance and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Qualification is required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a field-based electrical engineering role.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working independently on customer sites.
• Familiarity with electrical test equipment and diagnostics.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Ability to manage field-based workload across Greater London and surrounding areas.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
• Experience within EV charging, renewable energy or power electronics sectors.
• Experience commissioning and maintaining DC rapid and HPC chargers.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of analogue and digital electronics.
• EV charging manufacturer certifications or training.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning, configuring and testing AC, Rapid DC, Ultra and HPC charging stations.
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and fault-finding activities.
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical, mechanical and software-related issues.
• Performing firmware updates, calibration and system optimisation.
• Replacing faulty components and carrying out repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines.
• Providing technical support and guidance to customers on-site.
• Working closely with Operations, Service Coordination and Project teams to deliver outstanding service.
• Maintaining accurate service records and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements.
