Job summary

Stoneacre Motor Group is offering a Paid Autocare Mechanic Apprentice role in Wigan, with full-time hours, 8am–5pm, Monday to Friday. You’ll learn from experienced technicians while working with electric and hybrid vehicle systems in a modern workshop.

No prior experience required—just enthusiasm for cars and learning. You’ll gain the Level 2 Autocare Technician Apprenticeship, with potential progression to Level 3, and mentorship from industry experts.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above).
• A genuine interest in cars and technology.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Motivation to build a long-term career.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain vehicles.
• Assist with diagnostics and fault finding.
• Learn vehicle repair and maintenance techniques.
• Prepare vehicles for MOTs.
• Work on electric and hybrid vehicles.
• Use modern tools and equipment in a busy workshop.
• Develop essential health and safety skills.
