Job summary

GTG Training Limited is recruiting for an Apprentice Autocare Technician within an independent garage. The programme lets apprentices work full time and earn while learning, combining in-work practice with block release training at GTG Wolverhampton.

Typical activities include learning vehicle servicing, MOT preparation and diagnostics, while dedicated mentors guide you toward Level 2 Autocare Technician or Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths, English and a Science or Technical subject or equivalent.
• We are looking for candidates who want to kickstart their career in the automotive industry and who are keen to learn.
• A full UK Driving licence is not essential but preferred.

Responsibilities

• Based in the garage workshop, learn all aspects of vehicle repair and maintenance including servicing and MOT preparation.
• Assist with removal, replacement and overhaul of major components and electrical fault diagnostics.
• Contribute to workplace safety and maintain good housekeeping in the workshop.
