Job summary

JLR's Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Centre in Wolverhampton seeks a Senior Quality Engineer to lead quality improvement activities, drive corrective actions and ensure production meets the highest standards.

You will coach quality engineers, apply 8D/DMAIC/PDCA methods, manage audits under IATF 16949, and collaborate across teams to deliver sustainable performance and continuous improvement, while benefiting from flexible working where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in manufacturing quality engineering.
• Experience with 8D, DMAIC, FTA and PDCA problem-solving.
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and IATF 16949.
• Strong data analysis to identify trends and drive improvements.
• Excellent communication and ability to lead cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead escalation resolution and drive sustainable corrective actions.
• Coach and develop quality engineers.
• Govern QMS application across operations.
• Lead quality audits and close findings.
• Deliver quality improvement projects to standardise processes.
