Job summary

Arnold Clark in Stirling is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to service and repair a range of vehicles. You’ll follow meticulous processes, diagnose faults with modern tools, and road-test vehicles to ensure safety and quality.

Training will be provided to become EV accredited, and you’ll join a capable team that values accuracy and pride in workmanship. We offer a strong salary band (£40,000–£50,000 DOE), generous annual leave, flexible hours, private healthcare, and maternity/paternity

Qualifications

• A certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3 and solid work experience in the automotive industry.
• The ability to work in a competent and efficient manner on your own or part of a busy team.
• Strong communication skills and good attention to detail.
• Ability to follow written and spoken instructions and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
• Inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately using diagnostic equipment.
• Repairing or replacing broken or defective parts.
• Carrying out DVSA vehicle testing (if authorised).
• Road testing vehicles to check repairs.
• Maintaining equipment and keeping tools in good condition.
• Following checklists to ensure all procedures are completed.
• Completing all documentation to the required standard.
