Job summary

Arnold Clark in Kilmarnock is seeking skilled mechanics. You’ll prep cars, perform servicing and repairs, and work with a range of manufacturers, keeping up to date with the latest vehicle tech.

We offer £40,000–£50,000 DOE plus benefits, with overtime paid at time and a half and an annual leave starting at 33 days. You can earn up to £9,000 every three years in performance bonuses and have access to private healthcare and maternity/paternity packages.

Qualifications

• A certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3 and solid work experience in the automotive industry.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a busy team with good communication and fault-dinding.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
• Inspecting engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately using diagnostic equipment.
• Repairing or replacing defective parts as needed.
• Carrying out DVSA vehicle testing (if authorised).
• Road testing vehicles to verify repairs.
• Maintaining tools and equipment in good condition.
• Following checklists and completing documentation to standard.
