Job summary

Andesite Partners is seeking an Origination Associate for its European investment team. The role is sourcing-led, focusing on proprietary deal generation across Europe and building relationships with founders, CEOs and management teams to develop opportunities.

The ideal candidate has 2–6 years of relevant origination experience, a strong understanding of European technology markets, and the ability to identify attractive investment themes while working with senior investors.

Qualifications

• Genuine proprietary origination experience.
• Strong European technology market knowledge.
• Confidence engaging directly with founders and senior management teams.
• Strong commercial judgement.
• The ability to identify attractive companies and investment themes.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong analytical capability.
• A proactive and highly entrepreneurial mindset.
• Additional European language skills would be highly attractive.

Responsibilities

• Map attractive technology sectors and subsectors across Europe.
• Identify high-quality companies that fit the firm’s investment strategy.
• Build relationships directly with founders, CEOs and management teams.
• Develop proprietary opportunities ahead of formal sale processes.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective investments.
• Conduct initial commercial and financial assessment of opportunities.
• Present relevant companies and investment themes to the wider investment team.
• Work closely with senior investors as opportunities develop.
