Job summary

Asset Partners is exclusively mandated to appoint an Investment Associate to join its London team. The role focuses on identifying and evaluating high-growth tech opportunities and supporting sourcing, diligence, and execution.

The ideal candidate has 2–6 years of experience across venture capital, investment banking, consulting, or growth equity, with strong analytics and genuine enthusiasm for founders and early-stage firms.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years of relevant experience across high-growth operating roles, venture capital, investment banking, management consulting, growth equity and/or private equity.
• Experience combining operating work in a technology start-up with investing, consulting or banking is highly relevant.
• Strong analytical capabilities for assessing businesses, markets and opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate new investment opportunities across the technology ecosystem.
• Support sourcing and origination activities and build relationships with founders.
• Conduct market, sector and company research to identify themes and opportunities.
• Undertake commercial and financial analysis as part of the investment process.
• Support due diligence and transaction execution from initial assessment through to completion.
• Monitor portfolio company performance and support the investment team on initiatives.
• Contribute to the firm’s broader investment strategy and market coverage.

Candidates who have gained experience within a high-growth start-up or technology business are particularly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate new investment opportunities across the technology ecosystem
• Support sourcing and origination activities, developing relationships with founders
• Conduct market, sector and company research to identify emerging themes and investment opportunities
• Undertake commercial and financial analysis as part of the investment evaluation process
• Support due diligence and transaction execution from initial assessment through to completion
• Monitor portfolio company performance and support the wider investment team on portfolio-related initiatives
• Contribute to the firm's broader investment strategy and market coverage

Candidate Profile

• Approximately 2–6 years of relevant experience across high-growth operating roles, venture capital, investment banking, management consulting, growth equity and/or private equity
• Candidates combining operating experience within a technology start-up with investing, consulting or banking experience will be particularly relevant
• Strong analytical capabilities and experience assessing businesses, markets and commercial opportunities
• Strong understanding of the technology and start-up ecosystem, with genuine enthusiasm for working with founders and early-stage businesses
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong commercial judgement and intellectual curiosity
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
