Job summary

Simarco is an award-winning international logistics provider and is recruiting an experienced European Operator to join our busy European Operations Department. The role focuses on coordinating and delivering bespoke freight solutions with excellent customer service and administrative accuracy.

The ideal candidate will have logistics experience, strong teamwork, and be proficient with TMS and MS Office. You will liaise with customs, transport, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth loading and

Qualifications

Experience working in a logistics role is essential.
Experience in a customer service or administrative role is desirable.
GCSE English & Maths or equivalent.
Computer literate and able to learn new systems.
Ability to work collaboratively as a team player.
Confident using Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Good attention to detail when handling data.
Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise workload.
Develop strong service relationships with customers and overseas agents to deliver efficient and effective service, including regular updates and ETAs.
Ensure smooth internal communication between Customs, Transport, and Warehouse to facilitate loading and transport of goods.
Create new shipments on TMS.
Review customer invoices for customs compliance in UK/EU.
Provide completed load lists to the warehouse, manifests to agents, and Customs instructions while highlighting discrepancies.
Resolve and manage customer/agent queries professionally.
Coordinate special collections and resolve issues with third-party hauliers.
Collaborate with the team to align and streamline internal processes.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and ensure seamless delivery of services across Europe and beyond.
Create and manage shipments on the Transport Management System (TMS).
Review invoices for customs compliance in UK and EU and provide documentation to warehouses and agents.
Maintain timely customer/agent updates and ETAs, resolving queries professionally.
